Rookie Game

Tuesdays 7pm - 10pm

Come alone or with a partner. Everyone will play! This game is designed for those players that are either new to bridge or just new to duplicate bridge. You will play 16-18 boards depending on the best movement for the number of tables. Tables are allowed up to 9-10 minutes per board, compared to the normal 7 minutes for the Open Duplicate games. A relaxed atmosphere and fun people meet up with the competitive form of bridge, and the result is a very rewarding evening! Only $4.00 to play!!! David Dailey directs and might even be your partner! This game is occasionally canceled for holidays, local tournaments, or inclement weather. Check our calendar to verify that the game is on!

Introduction to Bridge Classes

Mondays & Thursdays 7:00-9:30 pm

This is a a ten class series spanning five weeks, currently offered three times per year. We start at the beginning and cover all of the Standard American Bidding System, as well as some tips on declarer play and defensive strategy. Each class has one single topic with discussion and premade hands to practice that topic. All materials provided. Some experience with bridge or other trick-taking games is useful, but not required. Cost is $10 per night. No commitment, so if scheduling issues arise, no worries! Check our calendar for exact schedule of the current and upcoming series.

Taught by David Dailey.

Intermediate Classes

This series is still on hiatus since the Closure, due to lower interest and scheduling issues. Contact us if you are interested! Focus is on Declarer Play and Defense. Attendees are expected to have a solid understanding of Standard American or 2/1 Game Force (preferred). Two declarer problems are emailed out to the group list on Fridays for everyone to familiarize themselves with before class begins. We spend about 30+ minutes on these problems at the start of class, followed by open questions. Those discussions are usually, but not always, about difficult-to-bid hands that have come up recently. Premade boards emphasizing defensive problems finish out the class. Cost is $10 per week. This is a drop in class, so classes do not generally build on previous discussions.
